Hockaday vs Oakridge

The Hockaday Varsity Field Hockey team defeated the Oakridge Owls 2-0 in their 2nd game of the season.  Hockaday had several nice runs to the goal in the first half, but I wasn’t until after a timeout called by Oakridge that Hockaday put their first goal on the board.  Within 10 seconds of returning to the field from the timeout, Shea Duffy was able to score off a pass from Emilia Callahan.  In the 2nd half Claire Tate connected for her third goal of the season off a pass from Shea Duffy.  Hockaday earned 8 penalty corners and held Oakridge to zero.  Emma Schnitzius had one save in the goal for Hockaday.  The team is back in action Friday and Saturday at the Southwest Field Hockey Festival hosted by Hockaday.
