Fourth Grade Book Sale Update

During this year’s Fourth Grade Book Sale, the Class of 2034 raised $1,024! That is 4,097 transactions of book and raffle ticket sales at a quarter each! All the books that were left following the sale will be donated to the organization Catch Up & Read. Catch Up & Read’s mission is to equip children in underserved communities to read on grade level by the end of 3rd grade so they can graduate from high school and break the generational cycle of poverty.

A very special thank you to Mimi Slater, our parent chair, who coordinated and organized all the parent volunteers, provided all our baggies and labels, and contributed each of the beautiful grade-level themed book baskets. Additional thanks to the fourth-grade families who donated books and volunteered and to the fourth-grade teachers who helped make this such a special and successful event. Congratulations to the winners of the raffle gift baskets and the free dress day!
