The Oak Tree Project

Pre-K and Third Grade Daisies are invited to take part in “STEMs Do Specialize! – The Oak Tree Project,” a hands-on, joy-filled collaborative research initiative developed by Baylor Scott & White Research Institute, the Texas A&M College of Medicine, and in partnership with Hockaday. This unique program brings medical students and educators together to study how early, joyful exposure to STEM concepts can inspire young girls and strengthen their confidence in science and medicine. Through four hands-on, after-school sessions led by Texas A&M medical students, Daisies will explore subjects such as the human body, meet real doctors-in-training, learn about healthy choices, and discover just how exciting STEM can be. Sessions will meet January 12, 20, 26, and February 2, 2026. Pre-K Daisies will meet from 2:45-4:00 pm and Third Grade Daisies will meet from 3:30-4:30 pm. This research project is tuition free and takes place in the Lower School. Click here to learn more. Register here. Preregistration is required. Questions?
