After-School Group Registration (Athletic Teams and Girl Scouts)
The following requirements are in place to facilitate large groups of students who attend sports practices and activities on campus right after school.
Please note that students will not be released for any activities until the following steps have been completed:
Athletic Teams and Girl Scout troops meeting for practice after school must be registered through the Lower School Office by submitting the following documentation via email to lsoffice@hockaday.org one week prior to the first meeting date. Please provide the following:
- Name & Grade of Group
- Complete Roster of Participants
- Practice/Meeting Dates & Times
- Parent(s) designated to accompany students to the practice field or meeting room for each occurrence.
- Parent consent for each participant. This can be done through a group email in which the parents reply to the organizer stating their daughter’s first and last name and their approval for participation.
- Once a team or group is officially registered, students on the roster will be allowed to leave with the designated parent volunteer on practice/meeting days.
- Group registration must be submitted one week prior to the start date.
Group Carpool
If you are requesting a group carpool, please fill out the carpool form you received in your back-to-school folder and return it to the Lower School office after your plans are firm. Group carpools will be set up when forms have been submitted, and confirmation emails are received from each participating family in the carpool. Once you receive your numbered sign, you may begin using it. Until you receive your numbered sign, please notify the office daily (LSoffice@hockaday.org) of any carpool arrangements that include children other than your own daughter.
