End of Year Reminders

As multiple end-of-year activities and festivities are rapidly approaching, a friendly reminder that any treat or food that your daughter is asked to bring to school needs to be nut free.

Lost & Found Tables and Items in Commons Areas
Lost & Found tables have been on display for students to retrieve their lost items. Please encourage your daughters to check the Lost and Found and to bring home all items not stored in their lockers.  All lockers, 5/6 Commons, and 7/8 Commons will be checked on the afternoon of Friday, May 23, and any belongings found at that time will be donated to charity.

Third Term Report Cards
Middle School parents will receive a communication from Mrs. Christenson prior to June 1 notifying them that report cards are open and ready to view. Please take the time to reflect before discussing the report card with your daughter so that your discussion will be positive and productive. Each student is unique and progresses academically, socially, and emotionally at different rates.

Library Book Return
All library materials are due back to the Lower and Middle School Library. Any books not returned by the last day of school will be considered lost, and the replacement cost will be charged to your child’s Hockaday account. If you have any questions about your child’s library account, please contact Ms. Walton at ewalton@hockaday.org. Thank you for your continued support of the library!

Middle School Summer Reading
All Middle School students are expected to read at least two books over the summer break. For grade-specific instructions, please log in to OnCampus and click the Library tile, or click here.

Summer Planning
You will receive an email packet from the Middle School Office in late July that will provide back-to-school information. Please note that Back-to-School Day for next year is on Monday, August 18.
