Highlights

List of 6 news stories.

  • Hockaday vs Greenhill

Although it was a tight game from the tip off, Hockaday continued to fight throughout the entire game. At one point we were down by 20 and then the next minute we were as close to 4. With everything against us, Hockaday continued to play ending the game with a score of 49-64.
  • Hockaday vs Casady

Hockaday finished off the week with a win against Casady.  The team is moving quickly up and down the floor offensively. We have increased our court awareness as well as making options to score.  Defensively, we still need to work on attacking the basket and not allowing our opponents more times to shoot.  But overall, we pulled it out with a score of 47-32. Let’s keep up the good work Hockaday!
  • Hockaday vs Trinity Valley

What an AMAZING Spirit Night for Hockaday!  Hockaday came out on top with a big win against Trinity Valley 61-28.  We came out at the start of the game on fire with 100% energy and confidence which remained throughout the game.  We were able to move the ball to make some great plays while transitioning up and down the court.  Eight out of our 11 team members were able to score while others helped defensively. To make the night even more amazing, our Co-Captain Ashna Tambe scored 1,000th Varsity points tonight.  Hockaday is continuing to do great things on the court!  Way to go Hockaday!!!!
  • Hockaday vs FWCDS

Hockaday came out fast and strong against FWCD. We had great ball movement, played good defense, had 9 out of 11 scoring. We still must consistently crash the boards offensively as well as defensively and score off the transition.  We got into a little foul trouble second half but was able to pull off the win 45-21. Good job, Hockaday!
  • Hockaday vs THESA

What a way to start the second half of the season!!!  Hockaday basketball came out on top with a nail-biting 58-56 win. We played well offensively as well as defensively, we communicated on the floor, and continued to attack the baskets in rebounds.  We were a few players down and majority of the team was able to get on the scoreboard. We started the first quarter ahead by 6 ending the first half down by 1. After half-time we were able to come back the 2nd half and outscore THESA both quarters.  Good job, Hockaday Basketball!!
  • Hockaday vs Westlake Academy

Hockaday Daisies ended the first part of the season with a BIG win against Westlake Academy.  Each team member was able to put points on the board.  We passed the ball extremely well, we communicated on defense, we attacked the boards and had amazing energy throughout the game!  Good job, Hockaday and Happy Holidays from the Hockaday Basketball Program!
