Believing in the Limitless Potential of Girls, Hockaday develops resilient, confident women who are educated and inspired to lead lives of purpose and impact.
Founded in 1913, The Hockaday School is an independent pre-kindergarten – 12th grade all-girls’ college preparatory school in Dallas, Texas. Our single-sex environment affords each of our girls a unique advantage. Hockaday girls love to learn, engage in hands-on work, and aspire to find their passions. They have boundless opportunities, attainable dreams, and limitless potential. Just as we encourage our girls to be curious and to engage in the process of discovery, we encourage and invite you to visit our campus and experience for yourself a day in a girls' school. After all, to truly know the power of a girls' school, you must see it in action.

LOWER SCHOOL
Grades Pre-K – 4

Girls can start learning at Hockaday as early as age four. In Lower School, our students are excited and encouraged to try new things and to take risks with the support of their teachers and peers. In elementary school or preschool, we believe a school should be a place full of joy, growth, and preparation. Every day is filled with excitement and discovery as each student finds her own love of learning. Our open and collaborative community is driven by empathy and inclusion to help girls thrive.

MIDDLE SCHOOL
Grades 5 – 8

Middle School students find an inclusive environment with friends, teachers, and advisors who are not only focused on academic engagement but also on their social and emotional development. There is such joy in guiding our Middle School girls as they begin to define their talents and interests, develop important study skills, and take on increased responsibility as members of the school community.

UPPER SCHOOL
Grades 9 – 12

In High School, Hockaday girls enjoy the opportunity to be confident leaders in all facets of the School. They are diligent, conscientious students who are curious learners, preparing for college and beyond. Each girl engages in a demanding curriculum, continues to grow her talents, gains confidence, and imagines the possibilities that await her after time in Upper School.
