Affording

Financing an independent school education is a major investment in a girl’s future. The cost of educating a student at Hockaday – with our personalized attention, stellar faculty, state-of-the art facilities and myriad opportunities beyond the classroom – is substantial. We recognize that the tuition and fees can feel prohibitive to many families and we are committed to making Hockaday accessible and affordable for the family of each student we admit regardless of financial circumstances.

At Hockaday, we value a school community that includes students with a variety of economic backgrounds. We offer tuition payment options and we award more than $3 million in financial aid each year to 13% of our families. We award tuition assistance to middle-income families, families with relatively high income who have multiple children in private schools, and to those whose financial circumstances qualify them for a grant equal to the full cost of tuition and fees.

The Hockaday School admits qualified students of any race, color, national origin, ethnicity, creed, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other status protected by applicable law to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the School. The Hockaday School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, ethnicity, creed, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other status protected by applicable law in the administration of its educational, admissions, financial aid, athletic, and other policies and programs.
