We are excited you are interested in Hockaday's Lower School for your daughter. Lower School Parent Visits will commence in fall 2022, however, please consider registering for a Campus Tour. You are also welcome to contact the Admission Office to speak with a member of the Admission Team at 214-360-6526 or email email@example.com to schedule a meeting.
Lower School Parent Visits
We host several Lower School Parent Visits during the school year to give you a chance to experience our distinctive program first hand. You will meet our talented faculty members and students, learn about our challenging, thoughtful curriculum, hear about the many opportunities outside of the classroom, and experience the strong sense of community that sets us apart.
At Hockaday, we foster a community of concern and friendship within the student body, faculty and staff, families, and alumnae. We invite prospective families to join us to learn more about diversity and inclusion at Hockaday. At this event, our Director of Inclusion and Community along with a panel of current students and parents will answer your questions about life at Hockaday.
We have many options to visit our campus. Due to our efforts with distancing for Covid precautions, we ask that no more than two people from a family attend the tour. Pre-registration is required. Register by clicking here. Applicants may register directly in the parent portal. Tours usually take 30-45 minutes.
Saturday Campus Tours: Sept. 25, Oct. 2, or Dec. 4, Times vary Wednesday Afternoon Campus Tours: Sept. 29, Oct. 13, Nov. 17, Jan. 12, Feb. 16, March 23, or April 13, 4:30 pm General Campus Tours: Dates vary, 11:15 am or 1:15 pm. To limit the impact of COVID-19 visitors will not tour through the Lower School during the General Campus Tours.
In place of on-campus visits, the Office of Admission will host a virtual student interview session in a Zoom format for students applying to Grades 5-11. Once you have submitted your daughter's application, you may schedule the Virtual Interview in the Parent Portal. Please note this process could change and we will email all applicants if this process does change for students applying to Grades 5-11.
We invite prospective parents to speak with one or two current Hockaday parents and a member of the Admission team. This coffee break will provide time for parents of applicants to virtually engage in a casual conversation to hear more about the community at Hockaday, as well as have an opportunity to ask questions. Please register in the parent portal.
